BEFORE + AFTER:
Oak cabinets were totally transformed in this NC home as our our faux artist worked diligently to create the look we specified. A base sealing coat was used and a glaze applied to mask the grain in the oak. The island was painted black and granite counter tops completed the look. A travertine back splash gave a nod to the country French flare we were trying to achieve.
The fireplace and hearth was painted using a special faux techniques adding plaster to give a more textured look.
A softer palette was desired and we began with using an oyster wall color, recovering the sofas in the soft neutral fabrics with lime green and soft aqua fabrics being used on the custom ottoman and throw pillows.
The hunter green tile on the fireplace was painted using hues from the wall color and other selected neutrals as a glaze.
Quite a transformation would t you agree?
